Obnoxiously Meta Extension
← back to the main page
The people behind Cards Against Humanity are pretty clear that it wouldn't be permissible to try to distribute my own Cards Against Humanity thing. However, what i can do instead is publish a list of things that you can write on a copy of their “Your Shitty Jokes” extension. Therefore, here's that exact thing, with the things to write being pointlessly meta cards that are confusing, alienating, difficult to play, moderately annoying, and not fun in any way. (Note: Two cards of the “Your Shitty Jokes” extension, one black and one white, are unaccounted for in these lists. This is intentional; leave them blank.) Write down the exact text in each entry verbatim.
White Cards
- The rest of the white card deck.
- The discard pile.
- The Card Czar.
- The person who played this card this round.
- The cards in the Card Czar's hand.
- The black card that was won the last round.
- The rules of this game.
- The packaging in which these cards came.
- The box in which the cards are stored.
- The elusive and legendary Grey Card.
- Cards that are actually colorful instead of just being black and white.
- All the cards in this game which do not refer to themselves.
- All black cards that have been wagered this turn.
- Playing based on who the Card Czar is.
- Uhhh…
- …huh. This white card is weird, because I can't actually tell what it says. To be clear, what I just stated is what the card actually says.
- There isn't anything written on this card.
- Zetta, with three teees.
- [The contents of this card have been removed.]
- [CARD CZAR: DO NOT READ THIS CARD. Instead, yell as loudly as the environment permits (this can include not yelling at all).]
- [CARD CZAR: DO NOT READ THIS CARD. Instead, make up something that you've never personally seen on a card or in previous instances of this card having been played. This card counts as saying that instead.]
- [CARD CZAR: DO NOT READ THIS CARD. Instead, select a different white card that you remember. This card counts as saying that instead.]
- [CARD CZAR: DO NOT READ THIS CARD. Instead, draw a card from the white card deck. This card counts as that card instead. Discard both this card and that card when this round concludes. Any player that draws this card must play it as soon as they can.]
- [CARD CZAR: DO NOT READ THIS CARD. Instead, a card is to be randomly selected from your hand and revealed to the table (the position in your own hand that the card used to take up is replaced by drawing as normal). This card counts as that card instead. Discard both this card and that card when this round concludes.]
- [CARD CZAR: DO NOT READ THIS CARD. Instead, try to locate another deck of cards that is not from any form of Cards Against Humanity that you can shuffle and draw from. Shuffle it and draw a card from it. This card counts as that card instead. If this proves impossible, this card instead counts as a one-eyed jack.]
- Something unplayable.
- Something undescribable.
- Something unwritable.
- Something unreadable.
- Something unprintable.
- The ash that this card would become if it was burned up.
- The physical form of this card, irrespective of the information encoded in it.
- The information encoded on this card, irrespective of its physical form.
- The card that this card used to be before it was written on.
- The role of the Card Czar as a concept.
- The office of the Card Czar, irrespective of who has held it, holds it, or will hold it.
- Everyone who has previously played this card, in order of when it was first played by them.
- Trying to figure out when the best time to play this card is.
- A white card that doesn't exist.
- Nothing.
Black Cards
- [Upon drawing this card, set it aside and draw another black card (the Card Czar stays the same) and use that card for the round. Whoëver wins that card wins this card as well.]
- [Upon drawing this card, use it to replace one of the black cards you've already won (of your choice) and use that replaced card as this round's black card instead. If you have not won any black cards yet, draw another black card, then put this card back on the top of the deck.]
- [Upon drawing this card, use it to replace one of the black cards you've already won (as determined by popular vote amongst all players, including the card czar) and use that replaced card as this round's black card instead. If you have not won any black cards yet, draw another black card, then put this card back on the top of the deck.]
- [Upon drawing this card, use it to replace one of the black cards you've already won (select which one randomly) and use that replaced card as this round's black card instead. If you have not won any black cards yet, draw another black card, then put this card back on the top of the deck.]
- [Upon drawing this card, use it to replace one of the black cards you've already won (as determined by an innocent bystander) and use that replaced card as this round's black card instead. If you have not won any black cards yet, draw another black card, then put this card back on the top of the deck.]
- [Upon drawing this card, show it to all the other players as normal, and then add it to your black cards. It counts as having been won. The role of the Card Czar then passes as per normal—this means that if playing with the “Meritocracy” house rule, you are the Card Czar again.]
- Play the cards you drew to replace the ones you played last turn. Which set would have won the previous round?
- Which white card in your hand do you think would have been the least likely to end up getting played, considering what remains of the black deck?
- Which white card would have been the worst one to play last round?
